Scheduling an initial consult is a critical step in finding a therapist who is a good fit for you and your needs. I offer 30-minute initial consults FREE. During that visit, we chat about my experience and your reasons for seeking therapy. This way we can determine whether I have experience with the concern you are having. Also, the consult meeting is an opportunity for you to get a sense of my personal style and address any questions. By the end of the consult, we usually have a sense of whether we will be working together. Most of the time people want to reserve an appointment right away, however, some will take their time to think about it. I encourage people to speak to other therapists so that they can get a sense of the different styles and personalities of therapists out there. I believe people should be very selective about who they choose to have as their therapist. If we decide to work together a weekly 45-50-minute appointment will be reserved for you. Unless we decide otherwise, your appointment will be on the same day and at the same time every week.
